As a mother of a twenty year old son, I threw my fair share of birthday events alongside my concurrent growing career as a professional event planner. Every event was saved up for carefully, setting aside months of tips from the four, yes four jobs I was working. That's why I love " The Princess and the Frog" so much. We had so many wonderful events with the creative skills to create memories that last forever were passed down from my mother and her mother before her. I learned at a very young age, the power of the fully Immersive Experience and more importantly the themed party. There Is a beautiful fusion of perfection that comes from the theme and the Immersion perfectly combined to create what we call In the entertainment Industry " Magic". We had a safari with a three tiered cake complete with live animals. We had a live carnival and even a bounce house that was longer and taller than our home at the time. So why do we do It? I'm speaking to my moms who have heard " are you crazy?" regarding their child's birthday parties at least twice In their lifetime. I asked myself this very same question recently. I had to truly spend considerable time and energy mulling It over and analyzing all of the memories of the past and what would have driven me to such a level of Insanity as to work 18 hours a day for 90 days straight just to make sure that he got to have every single character and cupcake from his favorite video game plus an event venue with Interactive experiences and a three tiered cake that cost more than my car with three different gourmet flavors. The reality, at least for me, was for the birthday to be so memorable and magical that he would look back someday when he Is having one of his worst days, and think of a private visit with a Gila monster In a private zoo enclosure and to pet penguins, and know his mom loved him more than her own life, and smile just enough to get through It. I did It so when he has children of his own, he does the same for them and this tradition of creating the most magical memories are passed down from generation to generation and just a little spark of magic or the smallest piece of glitter or Is It pixie dust lasts of me that makes one little child believe In magic. So for the moms like me, who want to take out a second mortgage to deliver only the most over the top, off of the wall, and most Importantly magical memory filled party for their child, this Is the community, actually the family for you.
